SWIMMING POOL DEMOLITION

Our Pool Removal Process

Removing a pool requires a number of steps. From filling out the permit to finishing the final grading, NOECON is there to do it from start to finish, making it hassle-free.

First, the prospective client gets in touch with us by calling 510-435-0829 or filling out the form in the “GET AN ESTIMATE” page. You will be contacted within 48 hours. Here, you are free to ask any questions relevant to our services that you have or go ahead and/or schedule a free in-home consultation. During the consultation, details will be reviewed and an estimate will be proposed via email within 48 hours. If you accept the proposal then Noe, the owner and operator, will discuss further details about the contract and the process, including a start date.

Once we have started your project, Noe moves forward with the City permits. As soon as all permits are approved, we get started with the dirty work! First, the pool is drained and then the site is cleared. We remove fences and/or shrubs that will get in the way of getting the project done. Then the utilities are disconnected for safety issues, this includes the water, electricity and gas lines. Finally, the pool is removed.

The swimming pool removal process can vary depending on the type of pool removal that the client chooses. For example, the broken concrete can either be used to fill the hole or it can be hauled away out of the site. After this is done, an inspector from a local building department comes by and approves the completed job. The client might get a phone call, text or email notification regarding this inspection approval. To finish the job, the hole is filled with clean soil, compacted tightly, and rough graded. AND VOILA! You have a site ready to have a beautiful patio or lawn.

TESTIMONIALS

“When I was told that my pool could be removed and the entire yard graded and ready for landscaping in just three work days, I was very skeptical. However, Noe was incredible. As a machinery operator, the machine became like an extension of himself. I was most impressed with his strategy-using the rubble he created to make a ramp into the pool, then getting to work from the inside out. The level of his multi-tasking, the efficiency of his operations and accuracy of his demolition and excavation were so great that we all had the work done with time to spare. That only happens when the people at work are extremely experienced. Hiring Noe and letting him take care of all the details was the best part of our entire project, as he was so careful of all of the details. I would highly recommend Noe to anyone needing any construction, excavation, or demolition projects…Unless I need him at the same time! I will definitely use Noe on my next project, no matter the size.” JP Nelson

“My swimming pool wasn’t getting much use, with the kids grown up and moved away. It needed repairs and I decided to have it removed. The process involved breaking up the concrete shell, and filling the hole with many loads of new dirt. My wife and I worried about damage to our landscape and to the concrete patio from the demolition, and from the equipment carrying and compacting dirt. Noe Gonzalez performed much of the work. He understood our concern, and was amazingly careful while using all of the big machines. Several other companies wanted to demo the patio as well as the pool and then build a new patio. The extra expense would have been enormous. The contractors didn’t want to or didn’t know how to cut the rounded shape of our pool with the concrete saw. Noe did this for us and managed to leave much of the existing patio in place, with a fairly smooth inside edgeThis saved us a lot of time and money. I especially appreciated these things from Noe: he is experienced and skillful, he listens and he cares about his customer.” -Rob Drew.

He did a great job excavating the pool and all of the concrete decking around it. He was careful and very surgical with the excavator when it came to things I didn’t want touched. I’ll definitely use him again. Rich.”

“Hi Noe, It was our pleasure having you do the pool removal. The Lord provided us a decent, honest, hard working young man to accomplish the job, and do it well. We have no suggestions for improvement, which is a compliment! Sincerely, Ed”

“Hi Noe, Having done an excellent job in demolishing our swimming pool, I feel compelled to write you a letter of appreciation. If I have family or friends in the future wanting to get their pool filled, I’d recommend you highly. Most important was your professionalism. I am very busy and don’t have time to worry about problems. You took care of everything. The inspection and permit were clean. The pool equipment area made safe and tidy. It was difficult to get equipment to my backyard and you accommodated. Please keep it up. Thank you and my best regards, DeWang”

“First of all I interviewed other contractors, but Noe stood out. He is not the largest company…but.. he gives you one on one attention. He started the job on time, works really hard, and had most of it finished in 2 days!! My husband and I both think very highly of Noe, love the job he did and are talking to him about doing another job for us. Linda”

“We decided to get rid of our pool after the children stopped using it. We contacted abundant contractors, and had a lot of no-shows. Noe showed up at the time agreed, offered very useful info and submitted a very economical bid. The construction went flawlessly, and we sailed through the inspections. In fact, as the inspector was walking out with Noe, they were talking about getting rid of his pool!” -Mary and Joe Serrano from Los Gatos, California

“Dear Noe,

We just wanted to thank you for the awesome job you did for us. Demolishing and removing our large pool in our small backyard, with extremely tight access was such a challenge. You maneuvered that Bobcat with such ease.

You always came to work early and worked hard all day. You kept on schedule and finished the job when you said you would. Very professional. You went beyond our expectations by doing so many extra things for us. At the end of each day you cleaned everything up, which was very nice. When the entire job was done you cleaned up and put everything back like it was and you couldn’t tell that anything had happened here. Amazing.

We strongly recommend your company NOECON to anyone who is looking for a General Engineering Contractor for construction-related and demolition services. With very reasonable rates.

We would be happy to be a referral if needed.

Noe, you are a good person, honest and thoughtful, always with a smile, we feel blessed to have met you.

Thanks again,

Sharon and Byron Shields from San Jose, CA

“Dear Noe:

Thank you so much for the work completed at our home for the partial removal of our swimming pool and attached spa. Prior to making our final decision to go with NOECON General Engineering Contractor, we met with multiple estimators. During out appointment for the in home estimate you were extremely knowledgeable and patient with all of our questions. In fact, your company was the only one that completed a follow-up e-mail and phone call after the appointment to see if we had any additional questions.

Although the working area was very tight, you were able to still do the job you said you were going to do without any delay in the project. We appreciated how you placed safety first and continually kept us informed of your progress.

You did not require any supervision and worked very hard while at our site. The whole removal process was stress free because of you.

We are extremely pleased with the work completed and would recommend you to anyone asking about a poo/spa removal.

Thank you again,

Matt & Sarah.

“After 36 years having great times using out 40 foot pool, we decided to remove the pool and enjoy a new landscaped backyard. We selected Noe, the owner of Noecon General Engineering Contractor for many reasons. 1) Noe is on the job full time everyday and, 2) his bid was less than the others. Noe did a great job in a very difficult access to our backyard. He was very professional and was a pleasure working for him. They cleaned up after each day and even power washed the street. I would recommend Noe for your pool removal.”

”NOECON completed a full removal of our large swimming pool early this month. We were extremely impressed with the non-stop hard work that Noe did during the project as well as his customer service. He aims to please.
Day 0– the pool was drained
Day 1– after Noe got permits for the project he started the demolition of the pool
Day 2– the concrete decking around the pool was pulled out and broken up
Day 3– the broken up pool and deck were removed and
Day 4-6 filling the hole with loads and loads of soil
Day 7-8– removal of the pool equipment and clean up.

Noe does all of the demolition himself. (He had a helper on days when he was filling the hole.) The project was done quickly because Noe worked efficiently over long hours with few breaks, including on a Saturday.

Some details you should be aware of if you are thinking of a project like this. Even though the machinery used is relatively small, this project is very noisy. In order to access the work site, the very heavy equipment is almost certain to damage existing landscaping and/or irrigation plumbing. In our case, Noe limited the collateral damage, though it would have been nice to know about this in advance. (We had irrigation plumbing that was not buried deep enough to be safe from the project.)

Summary– NOECON’s price was competitive and we are extremely pleased with the result. We would not hesitate to recommend NOECON to friends.”
